2025 Winter Gathering
Our annual Winter Gathering will be returning to Union 32 in Eagan, and we’ll be hosted in their party room.
Ride Saturday, December 7
Saturday is Global Fat Bike Day, so I thought we should celebrate again this year with a ride on the Minnesota River Bottoms Trail. This is an easy, flat trail that anyone can ride. We won't have snow to ride on this weekend, so you can also use a mountain or cycle-cross bike.

Saturday, we’ll start our ride from Rosemount at 10:00 and follow our Revenna Trail route in a clockwise direction. We will make a short stop at Lock and Dam #2. Bring extra food and drink, because there won’t be any available during the ride. The intersection of CR 46 and 85 should have been paved this week, so we should be able to get through there fairly easily.

The first snow of the season has arrived, but that won’t keep us from riding Saturday. We’ll start our ride from Rosemount at 10:00 and head to Northfield in a counterclockwise direction. During the ride it will be partly cloudy with temps from 45°F to 54°F and south winds at 7 mph.

This Saturday, we’ll start our ride from Rosemount at 10:00 and head to Sweet Kneads Cannon Falls Bakery via Hampton. This is a new, temporary 56-mile route that avoids two Dakota County construction projects on our normal route. Some of us rode this route in September and enjoyed the new roads.

Saturday’s ride will follow our Northfield route clockwise. We’ll start from Rosemount at 9:00 and head to Brick Oven Bakery in Northfield for some treats. During the ride it will be warm and sunny, with temps from 58°F to 66°F, and SW winds at 7 to 9 mph.

Saturday’s ride will start from Starbucks, starting at 9:00, and the route will be Revenna Trail clockwise, so bring food. The weather has changed to more seasonal temps. During the ride it will be sunny, with temps from 48°F to 57°F, and east winds at 4 to 5 mph.

This Saturday’s ride will be from Starbucks to Northfield in a counterclockwise direction. Despite the late sunrise, this week’s ride will start at 8:00, to help avoid windier conditions later in the day. The weather during the ride will be sunny, with temps from 55°F to 70°F, and SSE winds at 10 to 18 mph. Beginning next week, our rides will start later.

Saturday’s ride will start from Starbucks at 8:00 and will follow our Grey Cloud Island counterclockwise route. Bring extra food, because our planned stop will be at the restrooms at Point Douglas Park, which is 20 miles into the ride. This 60-mile ride should take us about 3.75 hours. Our weather Saturday will be sunny, with temps from 61°F to 75°F, and north winds at 4 to 6 mph.
