Ride Saturday, May 13

Saturday’s ride will start from Rosemount at 08:00. The route will follow our Revenna Trail route clockwise. We’ll head east to Hastings and stop briefly at Lock and Dam #2 before heading a little further east to Revenna Trail where, hopefully, we’ll be mostly sheltered from the crosswinds. The map shows three gravel sections, but don't worry, we can bypass the first one that connects Hwy 55 to the trailhead and the two longer gravel sections are asphalt.

Ride Sunday, November 6

On Saturday, we are hopefully going to get some much-needed rain, so I’ve set up a Zwift ride for those of you who want to do a virtual group ride. You can chat with the group via Discord, which makes the time fly. We’ll continue to schedule Zwift rides for the club on Saturdays until next spring.

Sunday could be the last outdoor group ride of the season. It looks like it will be relatively warm in the morning and windy in the afternoon, so our Orchard Lake route counterclockwise would be a good ride for this late-season ride. It will be 42 to 47 degrees with partly cloudy skies and 7 to 12 mph winds.

Ride Saturday, October 22

A bit of a warm-up is in store for this weekend, so the ride will start at 08:00 and the route will be to Cannon Falls clockwise. The “early” start time means less head wind on the way out and more time for you to relax (or do yard work) and enjoy the warm afternoon. Expect cool temps at the start — 43 degrees — and 58 degrees by the end of the ride, so layers will be key. It will be partly cloudy with ESE/SE winds from 6 to 10 mph, so not as chilly or windy as last weekend.

Ride Saturday, October 15

This week’s ride will be the same as last week. Again, the ride will start at 10:00 from Rosemount, and it will continue through Bloomington and Prior Lake. This is a new route created for last week’s ride, because we have to ride around the construction at I-35W and Cliff Rd in Burnsville. Those of you who enjoyed this route last week can show the route to those who missed last week’s ride. It’s unusual to have shut similar weather two weeks in a row, and have our routes limited by one small construction project, so I hope you enjoy the ride redux and the wonderful fall colors.
